Felix Wiegand studied computer science at TU Dortmund. He wrote his bachelor thesis about visualizing genomic data with vega-lite as a client-server application which later turned into alignoth. During his time as a student assistant at the group of Johannes Koester his main focus was implementing datavzrd.
