Helmut Becker studied bioscienes with a focus on bioinformatics and biophysics at the University of Wuerzburg and joined the RTG WisPerMed graduate school as as doctoral researcher in 2024. In his master's thesis he used self-supervised learning algorithms to enhance the robustness and generalization of segmentation models for microscopy image analysis. His current research focuses on the development and utilization of multimodal foundation models for the prediction of clinical endpoints at the Point of Care.
