Kamyar is a medical IT specialist and has completed his master’s degree in Medical Informatics at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund. He has joined the DIC Essen in May 2020. His expertise includes transformation and harmonisation of medical data according to the FHIR standard to improve overall interoperability of clinical data in the German healthcare system. He has also specialised in the evaluation and implementation of phenotyping pipelines to annotate clinical notes using Natural Language Processing.
