Meijie Li received a bachelor's degree in electronic information engineering from Zhengzhou University, China, in July 2018. In January 2022, she completed her master's degree in computer engineering at the University of Duisburg-Essen with a master's thesis in natural language processing and explainable machine learning. Since June 2022, she has been working at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine at the University Medical Center Essen and the DFG-funded research training group WisPerMed as a research associate and PhD student. Her PhD thesis deals with the development of explainable machine learning models for melanoma diagnosis by combining text and image information.
