Henning Schäfer successfully defends his PhD thesis

We are thrilled to announce that Henning Schäfer has successfully defended his PhD as a first cohort member of our WisPerMed RTG, and achieved the highest possible distinction, summa cum laude.

In his dissertation project, “Analysis of Unstructured Text from Publications,” Henning explored innovative methods to extract meaningful insights from complex scientific text. His work was supervised by Prof. Dr. med. Peter Horn (University Hospital Essen) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph M. Friedrich (University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund).

This remarkable achievement is a testament to Henning’s scientific rigor, dedication, and expertise.
