Young scientists honored with poster award

At the Cluster Conference 2024 - Innovative Medicine in NRW on March 19, 2024, four young scientists were awarded a poster prize. Daniel Sauter (FH Dortmund), a doctoral student in the WisPerMed research training group, received an award for his poster submission entitled “Concept-based explanation of neural networks for dermatohistopathology”. In his work, he evaluated the potential of two distinct categories of explainability methods to address the limitations of black box AI in histopathology.
