Wispermed organizes Dagstuhl 2026

We are thrilled to announce that WisPerMed is organizing a Dagstuhl Networking Event in 2026! This is a significant milestone for our research training group and a wonderful opportunity to contribute to the renowned Dagstuhl series, which brings together computer scientists from diverse fields for intensive scientific exchange. We are deeply grateful to everyone supporting this endeavour and to the Dagstuhl team for this exceptional opportunity.

Professor Johannes Köster will be accompanying us as a co-organizer, bringing his extensive expertise in computational workflows and bioinformatics. Mikel Bahn and Bahadir Eryilmaz will take care of the local organization and coordination, ensuring a productive and engaging experience for all participants.

Over the years, our team members have attended Dagstuhl events and benefited tremendously from the unique format that fosters deep scientific exchange and cross-disciplinary collaboration across all areas of computer science. These events have been instrumental in shaping research directions and building lasting partnerships. Now, we are excited to organize a networking event that welcomes computer scientists from various backgrounds to share ideas, explore emerging challenges, and forge new collaborations.

As organizers, we bring WisPerMed’s interdisciplinary spirit to this event—our experience bridging computer science, medicine, and data science will help facilitate meaningful discussions that connect different research communities. We look forward to welcoming participants, fostering dialogue across disciplines, and creating an environment where innovative ideas can flourish.

A dedicated page with the full program, registration details, and more information will follow soon. Stay tuned!
